To gain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, laboratories need to demonstrate their competent analysis of trace explosives and associated chemicals.

LGC AXIO Proficiency Testing works in collaboration with The European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI) Working Group on Explosives to provide our Forensic Analysis for Explosives proficiency testing scheme (FAE). Participation in the scheme allows laboratories to monitor performance as well as compare it with that of the peers, and against the international standard ISO/IEC 17025.
