Aqueous Inorganic Reference Materials
Heavy metals can occur in foods naturally or by contamination, while minerals are also naturally present, or may be added to foods, beverages, supplements, pet foods and animal feeds.
Regulations commonly specify maximum levels of metals such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury, while additional elements including chromium, methyl mercury, tin, and antimony must also be monitored frequently. Some regulations also require that significant levels of certain minerals are included on food labels - including sodium, calcium, iron, potassium, and many others.
We provide an extensive line of high-purity, ISO 17034-accredited single and multi-element aqueous standards and CRMs - each provided with a certificate of analysis and checked for 65 potential trace contaminants.
These metals and minerals reference standards are designed both to calibrate instruments for AA/GFAA, ICP, ICP-MS, IC, and pharmacopeial methods and to help demonstrate successful recovery and detection levels.
All our single-element reference standards are directly traceable to NIST and prepared according to a NIST-endorsed process featuring approximately 800 measurements of each standard.
We also offer a custom manufacturing service if you cannot find the specific mixture you require below.
