Analgesics

Analgesics are any member of the group of drugs used to achieve analgesia, relief from pain. From opioids to NSAIDs, they work at different levels to inhibit pain. The major mechanism of action involves the reinforcement of inhibitory descending controls by inhibition of monoamine reuptake.
