2-Amino-5-bromopyrazine-3-carboxylic Acid Methyl Ester is used as the starting material in the preparation of pyrazine derivatives that are AxI and c-Met receptor enzyme inhibitors. These inhibitors are useful in the treatment of tumors. 2-Amino-5-bromopyrazine-3-carboxylic Acid Methyl Ester is also used in the preparation of potent and selective inhibitors of ataxia telangiectasia mutated and Rad3 related (ATR) protein kinase as potential anticancer agents.
