MM0491.15 is an analogue and impurity of risperidone which results from reaction of traces of not fully hydrogenated 2-Methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-on (CAS 1693-94-3, starting material) being carried through all synthesis steps and finally leading to the formation of MM0491.15. 2-Methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-on is a starting material which is hydrogenated in one of the first synthesis steps of risperidone.
