4-Methylumbelliferyl 2-Sulfamino-2-deoxy-a-D-glucopyranoside Sodium Salt is a substrate for the lysosomal heparin sulphamidase. It is a fluorometric enzyme assay for the diagnosis of Sanfilippo disease type A (MPS IIIA). It is also a fluorogenic substrate for sulfamidase.
