The new practice of ‘lab shopping’ by cannabis growers is threatening the future and integrity of cannabis testing labs. Because market forces incentivise growers with the most potent and purest products, some are reportedly seeking out laboratories willing to manipulate their data to falsely support these claims. Not only is this an unethical practice that could put consumers’ health at risk, it’s also a dangerous game that may jeopardise the accreditations of the laboratories involved.
